A1 Exam Preparation Tips
Consistency over intensity
Study 30–60 min daily. Consistent daily practice beats long weekend sessions.
Flashcard method
Use spaced repetition — mark words as mastered only when you can recall them without looking.
Listen every day
DW Deutsch's Nicos Weg series is free and perfectly calibrated to A1 level.
Write from day one
Fill in practice forms, write short messages. Don't wait until you feel "ready."
Speak out loud
Read vocabulary and example sentences aloud. Pronunciation matters in the speaking exam.
Review previous days
At the end of each week, revisit days 1–7 again. Forgetting is normal — re-learning is the point.
